About the Presenter
Steve Roseman, CEO and Founder.
A strong spirit of entrepreneurship, combined with a passion for helping others, is what drives Steve Roseman. Arguably, entrepreneurship is something that cannot be taught, but it certainly runs deep in Steve’s blood. His grandfather was an entrepreneur, starting a business that his family still owns and operates.
Steve’s grandfather was a dominant influence in his life, so much so that Steve started a nonprofit based upon his grandfather’s battle with MS. Through this experience, Steve discovered his passion for nonprofits.
Coupled with a curiosity of how technology could positively impact nonprofits, Steve explores possibilities in which tech can help profit and nonprofit organizations maximize efficiency. Through this exploratory process, Steve discovered an opportunity to help organizations with their fundraising efforts. WEDO Charity Auctions was the result of the harnessing of technology.
Mobile bidding platforms began appearing in 2010 and at that time, only the largest, most successful events were targeted for utilizing this new tool. Steve’s WEDO business model focused on making it accessible to all nonprofits.
Steve’s creativity with exploring marketing and engagement solutions for nonprofits extends not only to adding value and enhancing efficient methods for fundraising, but he’s truly focused on the mission of the nonprofits, giving as much of his time and energies as he can to ensure their success. The value of giving back was instilled in him from childhood and lives on through his work.
In early 2020 the community engagement platform (Donaide) Steve has been working on for over four years has officially launched. If that wasn’t enough Steve recently launched the Donaide Foundation. Focusing on mental health.
